Lithotripsy Procedure |
The Urology Centre provides a full range of urological services including :
- Routine Transurethral Surgery for the Prostate and Bladder (TURP & TURBT)
- Endourological management of urinary stones including Extra Corporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL), facilities and expertise for Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and Ureteroscopic Fragmentation and Extraction (URS), obviating the need for open surgery.
- Urodynamic assessment of Bladder Dysfunction and Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms which will aid in the management of neurogenic and overactive bladders, male/female incontinence and as an adjunct to assessing recurrent urinary tract infections and other voiding dysfunctions in children.
- Management of Impotence with intracavernosal injections, Vacuum Devices and implantation of artificial penile prostheses.
- Management of male and female incontinence including injection of bulking agents and implantation of artificial urinary sphincters and correction of bladder neck descent in women with slings or open surgery.
- Early detection of prostate cancer including Transrectal Ultrasound (TRUS) Guided biopsies for confirming diagnosis.
- Surgical management of Kidney Disorders including Kidney Tumour
